The Main Event 2017

THE 2017 MAIN EVENT: PUT HUNGER IN PARK

The Main Event is on the move, and you are invited to ride along! Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties invites you to its 6th Annual Main Event fundraiser, “Put Hunger in Park.”
After five successful years of Meals on Wheels’ annual Main Event Auction, the agency has decided to change direction and host its first ever food fest. “Put Hunger in Park” will be held at Hoover Park in North Canton from 5pm-10pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017. The event will include live entertainment, contests, prizes, beer and food trucks and – most importantly – plenty of meals on wheels.
"Put Hunger in Park" admission is FREE, and the event is open to the public.
Our mission is to provide nutrition for better health, happiness, and independence by providing more than 1,400 meals a day to nutritionally at-risk individuals in Stark and Wayne Counties regardless of their age orability to pay.
The 2017 event is a perfect fit with our mission as it focuses on the positive impact good food and great people can make on our community.
All financial support for this event will go directly towards meal costs for Meals on Wheels clients. To become an official event supporter, please  contact Suzanne Whisler, development specialist, at 330-832-7220 ext. 109 or whisler@mow-starkwayne.org.

We hope you will join us in September and help Meals on Wheels “Put Hunger in Park!”
