Applying for, and starting service, is easy. 

• Call us at (330) 832-7220, Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the following information:
  • Full name.
  • Complete address (apartment number, zip code, etc.).
  • Phone number.
  • Date of birth.
  • Martial status.
  • Name, address and phone number (home and work) of at least one person who can be contacted in case of emergency.

• Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Countines social workers will then work with the applicant or caregiver to arrange for meal service to begin. Most recipients receive their first meals within two days of the initial phone call. More specific information on this will be provided when you call to apply. 

Please remember that each program participant is asked to make a suggested, voluntary, confidential contribution of $2.00 per meal. At the time service is arranged, a social worker will explain how the contribution may be made and work with the applicant and/or their families if they are not able to afford the full, suggested amount.  No one is denied service based on an inability to contribute.
